I Want to Learn

Here at Westside, we offer many opportunities for people to learn, not just on Sunday, but every day of the week.  Throughout the year, we host and co-host programs that will enable you to delve deep into learning about the innumerable aspects of God's presence in our lives; to worship Him in spirit and in truth; to respond to His call for evangelism; or to be stewards of His many provisions.

We encourage you to take a look around and see what opportunities we have to offer for your spiritual growth and development.

Membership Inquiry Class:

Want to learn about our church beliefs? Attend this class, taught by our campus pastor,  Danny Furukawa, once a quarter.  Discover what the Bible says about accepting Christ as your Savior, baptism, communion and other foundational truths.

The next class will on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 9:00 am in the Encore Room next to the Wadsworth Theatre.  You can sign-up at the Connections Table on Sunday or email info@westsidesoth.org

Please note: although membership is not required after attending this class, it is requirement if you would like to become a member of Westside Shepherd of the Hills.

Men’s Ministry:

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17

Westside Men's Ministry is dedicated to equipping men to be godly leaders in their families,  their church and community. Go the next level and deepen your faith through Bible study, prayer, and accountability through our Men’s Bible Study every Wednesday at 7:00 pm and  LIFE! Groups. Other opportunities to fellowship serve are offered through Men's Retreats, Breakfasts and outreach projets. For more information contact info@westsidesoth.org

Women’s Ministry:

If you are a woman seeking deep relationships in an environment of grace, love and support, we invite you to join other women on the same journey.  We have our Women's Bible Study every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm currently going through Beth Moore's study, Believing God:Experience a Fresh Explosion of Faith.  You can also join one of our many women exclusive LIFE! Groups or attend our Women’s Retreats, Women’s Breakfasts, or be a part of service projects throughout the year.  For more information contact Lucy at llegaspi@theshepherd.org

Retreats:

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Mark 1:35

As Christ often retreated to a solitary place, we offer many opportunities throughout the year to get away from our daily routines and engage in prayer, devotion and deep relationships with others. We hold retreats for men, women and youth.

Check dates for the next retreat on our Upcoming Events page. For more information contact Ginger Navarrete at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org
