"Just as each one of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." Romans 12:4-5

We have many ways in which you can get connected to the body of Christ through serving opportunities. Christ set an example of service by not only washing His disciples’ feet. Greeting Team
If you enjoy making people feel welcome by extending your hand, giving a smile and introducing them to others, we need you.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org

Connections Team
We need those of you that enjoy getting people connected by giving out information about our ministries, serving and outreach opportunities, as well as special events to our guests each weekend.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org if you are interested.

Hospitality Team
If you enjoy preparing food and refreshments for guests, this team is for you.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org

Ushering and Communion Team
We need people full of compassion and love for our guests each week as you usher them to find a seat and assist them with their needs before service as well as, collect tithes and offering and distribute communion during the service. Contact Lucy at llegaspi@theshepherd.org

For those of you who have a heart to intercede for others amongst a group of believers, we have a place for you.  Every Sunday at 10:00 am a group gathers next to the Encore Room at the Wadsworth Theatre to pray as the Spirit leads.  This team also assists with calling, or sending emails and cards to those who have prayer requests during the week.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org

Set-up/Tear-Down Team
We need committed men who are willing to assist in loading sound equipment and setting signs, tables, and chairs in front of the theatre in order to prepare the theatre for guests, as well as packing up when the service is over.  This is a labor intensive team and there is always a great need for this team.  You can serve before or after the service.  We need you, contact Lucy at llegaspi@theshepherd.org

Decision Counseling/Prayer Team
You are invited to minister to guests who come forward that are in need of prayer, want to accept Jesus as their Savior, interested in getting baptized, and want to become a member of Westside Shepherd of the Hills.  Each member must go through a short training session and be a member of Westside Shepherd of the Hills.  We need men and women of all ages to serve on this team.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org

Media Team
We need help setting up our media equipment and operating our slides for worship, announcements and the sermon.  Training will be provided.  Contact Lucy at llegaspi@theshepherd.org if you are interested.

Small Stars
If you have a heart for caring for babies and working with young toddlers up to age four through crafts, song and stories, we invite you to serve our little ones once a month.  We ask every volunteer to go through a background check and fill-out a Ministry Application form at the Connections Table.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org if you are interested.

Xtreme Kidz
If you like to think outside of the box and be involved in culturally relative and inspiring messages for kids age five through age ten, we need your help.  We need volunteers that are willing to commit to serving once a month as well as go through a background check and fill-out a Ministry Application form at the Connections Table.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org

Youth Team
Do you have a heart to mentor middle school and high school students?  If so, we need your help with this ministry that has the ability to impact our teenagers.  Our students meet every Wednesday at 6:30 pm.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org

Bulletin Team
You are invited to our church office every Friday at 10:00 am to assist in folding and stuffing our weekly bulletin.  There is also a devotional time and great fellowship.  Contact Lucy at llegaspi@theshepherd.org if you are available to come.

Team Vet
“No greater love is this; when a man lays his life down for his friends.”  John 15:13.  We have the privilege of serving our veterans that reside on the VA Campus.  Though many come to our services, there are many more that cannot leave their buildings.  We need people who have a heart to serve the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom and protection.  Contact Ginger at gnavarrete@theshepherd.org for more information on this team and our next outreach event.

Mens Outreach

Men we need you to be a part of 25 small, diverse outreach projects for this year! 25 men from our church have committed to coordinating these projects and need your help in them.
